I was called to conduct a search of a residence with Leah during the service of a search warrant. The residence had already been searched by officers serving the search warrant, however they wanted to get a K9 for a more complete search, So Leah and I conducted a search of the residence as they believed additional illegal controlled substances could still present.
During the search of the residence Leah located numerous addition controlled substances that would not have been located without her. Hidden in the garage, concealed in two beds, Leah alerted to 4 bags of powder cocaine weighing approximately 1 kilogram. In addition, numerous additional finds of cocaine and marijuana were located at other locations throughout the residence. Leah alerted to a closet where approximately 2000 tablets of ecstasy were located after her alert.
Leah also alerted to numerous locations in bedroom closets within the residence as well as a bag on the bed inside the residence. Searching after these alerts, approximately $34,000 in cash was recovered at the locations she alerted to. |
